Abstract:

In this paper, we present a unique approach that provides cluster level data-reliability with low energy consumption. Prior to presenting the algorithm, we present a cluster-head selection algorithm which would ensure prolonged lifetime of the cluster as well as the health of the chosen cluster-head during its elected period. Our scheme not only ensures reliability of data aggregated at the cluster-head and but also provides a set of logically-correlated neighbors among the cluster members. We consider sensor measurement faults in the cluster. Our simulation results show a good level of reliability in the information gathered at the cluster-head while keeping the overall energy consumption of the cluster low.
